Yep, it's Friday!

Really quickly, I'd like to show you my little paper pieced sewing machine for the swap I did. This is in it's beginning stages. Before I hand stitched the symbol and designs on it. I am so happy with it. I always wanted to piece one, unfortunately it was not one I got to keep. But I'm still thrill as can be that it turned out decent!
Of course it's not perfect, but by the time it was added to the project all was well overall, more pictures coming soon! Don't you just love it. The needle actually was not part of the original pattern. But you can't have a sewing machine without a needle. So at the last minute I added a little piece of the same fabric from the turn crank as best I could. Tee-hee, I just love it.
Okay, enough showing off. Let's get to the real reason you're here, eh!
This is really a step out for me, I did not add any pop of color to the palette this week. This picture just seemed so muted to me. It's a quiet picture that just made me think I needed to take a moment to reflect on life and my choices. Of course, wild child that I am, I began to see see gargoyles and werewolves and, well.... Let's just say I got wayyyy off topic in my thoughts. On the other had I have a great comic strip in my mind now, LOL.
The photo that started my wild imagination this week belongs to Trina. She took it at her very first Spring Quilt Market, I can't wait for the first time I get to go to a quilt market! This really is a beautifully designed building. I found it hard to throw in a splash of color, it felt like I would cause a disruption in the peaceful and solemn setting. Plus I have never really gone with all or almost all muted colors. This will be interesting to me to see how it comes out. Let's take a look, shall we:
