Color Play Friday: Fall Walk

Howdy Loves,

It's Friday again!

It's has been such a long week, actually it was such a long Thursday.  I'm happy to see the weekend, although I probably wont get must rest.  I am prepping for family to come into town and trying to get assignments for school turned in.  It was fun getting the prizes shipped for the giveaways.  I will post the pictures of the pin cushions in my "Swap Meet Tuesday" post the 18th.  I'd like to do some swaps with pin cushions, I love pin cushions AND I love receiving pin cushion and giving away pin cushions!

Last week I tried out some cool new recipes for dinner.  I plan to share some of those later this month.  Foods that I normally don't eat a lot of, but are good for you or just plain good.  But today let's get down to business.  You are here from Color Play Friday.

So let's talk color!  Color Play Friday was created by Lorinda over at Laurel, Poppy, and Pine and her good friend Trina over at In An Otter Life.  They opened it for others to join the fun every week and here I am today, A Color Play Friday Girl, teehee.  If you'd like to get more details on CPF and how you can join the fun please contact the ladies at colorplayfriday@gmail.com.  They'll give you all the details, including next week's photo.

This week's photo is the Fall Walk.  This is a great Fall picture.  Turns out our hosts were on a walk with a group of friends with their children and happened upon this lovely.  Well of course they both thought they had to have it for CPF.

I instantly knew I wanted to keep the fabric bundles light and whimsy.  I decided to go with my favorite, creatures!  These are some of the things that I could quickly think of that made me feel has happy to see as the wonderful colors and leaves in this picture.  What do you think of when you happy fall colors?

I used Moda Fabrics Palette Builder 2.1 Powered by Playcrafts to decide on my color palette for the photos.  The builder gives me a selection of Moda Bella Solids, Aurifil Threads and Hex Values for each of the photos.   Then I change them at will and play around until I found that wacky pallet that suits my mood.   I then use those selections to search for my fabric bundles.  I like finding "different" styles of fabrics.  Yes, sometimes wild, but hey, that's the beauty of loving fabric!  I'll also be using their hashtag #modapalettebuilder, per their request.  It's the least I can do to say thank you for providing a great tool.

There you have it hon!  Now please go check out the other ladies who are playing this week.  It's exciting to see the same picture from different perspectives.  If you would like to join us (that would be so awesome!) you can contact Lorinda and Trina @
colorplayfriday@gmail.com for all the details and next week's photo.
